Limehouse yoga’s style is physically challenging, thought provoking and playful. It’s a dynamic flowing style of yoga that teaches you to integrate your breath with your movements, allowing you greater freedom within your mind and body. The team were after a brand that would make its mark in the yoga fitness sector and reflect a young, bright end user.

 

We developed a logo that uses the Bodhi leaf - Bodhi is a Sanskrit word meaning “Enlightenment” or “Awakening.” It was under a Bodhi Tree that Gautama Siddhartha, who later was called Buddha achieved, enlightenment. The use of the leaf also gives the logo an organic and natural feel, which is very much Limehouse yoga’s character.

The font used has soft, curved, flowing edges with a playful feature being made of the tail from the ‘g’ reflecting the ethos and style of practice given by Limehouse yoga. We selected teal as a perfect colour to be used as it is calming and also reflects the surroundings of the studio which plays a massive part in the Limehouse Yoga experience. They are ideally situated with fantastic views over the sand dunes and down to the aqua coloured waters of Perranporth, Cornwall.

 

“I don’t normally write reviews as I have to be extremely impressed to put ‘pen to paper’ so to speak. Let me also start off by saying I was also trained as an illustrator and have dealt with many graphic designers in the past, however when it came to designing our new logo I couldn’t create anything I was happy with.
